Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more adept, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Look for models that allow you to select from multiple modes, use their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up the stairs.

Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Find an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.

The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive close to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues getting down the stairs in one go. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or rugs.

Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though it will differ based on how much you use the mop.

The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them getting clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combinations which require more effort to maintain.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction and offers a number of unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply dragging a pad across the surface. 3. Dreame X40 ultra

The Q5 was among the few robots we tested did not show a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it did not handle kitty litter or cable tangles.
