Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills and stains) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual will have you running in no time. You'll have a an entire dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent as the best robot vacuum and mop is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that the robot tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot has done, where it is going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning robot mop and vacuum abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, robots that vacuum and mop however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.

The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and robots that vacuum and mop mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is user-friendly and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has many convenient features that make it a great option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It will also tell you if the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation prior to it bursting.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot vacuums with mop that's among the most expensive available however, it comes with a lot of extra features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature as it stops the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum and robot Vacuum mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.

There are many choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. They can be set through the app or there are buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options for customising your cleaning routine. It also has many features that aren't available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, with a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at around 4kg but it's not too heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
