Best lightweight single strollers that connect stroller (a cool way to improve)

Travel strollers don't get much lighter or more compact than this. Its sleek design is easy to fold into a neat rectangle shape and the wheels rotate more easily than some other designs.

It also has an under-seat storage space and an adjustable shoulder strap which makes it easier to lug around when not pushing it. But the canopy adjuster can make quite a bit of noise, which could wake a sleepy toddler.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its tiny size. The back under-seat basket is equipped with a spring-loaded mechanism, which means you can move the basket to store a backpack or diaper bag and it will then pop up to secure its contents. It comes with a child's accessory holder and an adjustable reclined seat pad. This is more than what you see on a typical light stroller.

It also has a canopy that can be closed and opened to ensure that you get the level of sun protection you want. The handlebars are height-adjustable for a comfortable fit in four different positions. We weren't so impressed with its ride quality over rough surfaces. We were of the opinion that the suspension and wheels did not do a good job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

It's a great stroller for travel because it arrives in a box fully assembled and requires only a few steps to make it in use. The seat can be pushed forward and back to adjust the recline. It's quite flat. It's easy to fold and unfold, because of two buttons on the frame. It can be tucked away in a very convenient carrying bag when not in use. It's actually one of the most compact strollers we tested, and it meets most airlines' requirements for gate-checking or cabin storage on planes. This is a great choice for those who are looking for a stroller that is light and easy to carry. It comes with all the features parents are looking for in a stroller. This includes all-terrain tires and front suspension for a smooth ride. It's also incredibly light, at less than 12 pounds. It also has a handy fold that can be folded with one hand and a self-standing fold. It has two cup holders on each tray to accommodate the parent and child.

The quality, however it is a bit on the low side and it did not fare well in our tests of maneuverability. It also has a swivel frame that makes pushing it across rough surfaces feel like lifting a large weight. It is possible that you only use the stroller on paved sidewalks. However, for the majority of people, it's not a good choice.

Cloud Plus Cloud Plus has a three-tier extended canopy and a peek-aboo window to provide additional sun protection. Its multi-position seat accommodates children weighing up to 50 pounds and has the 5-point safety restraint system. This is a great option for older toddlers that have outgrown their infant car seats.

It comes with a single pushchairs-step and compact folding mechanism and can be collapsed with just a touch of a button. It also comes with a foot-activated brake that is simple and easy to set and release.

However, the handle is a bit lower than other strollers we tested and some parents may find it uncomfortable for long durations. It does come with an adjustable handle lock that keeps it in place when opened, though. This is an excellent feature to use the stroller on uneven or rough terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate travel stroller for parents on the move. This compact stroller is easy to fold up and down and can easily fit in overhead compartments on planes and in trunks at the amusement park (no need to worry about parking charges). It also comes with an easy-zip carrying bag that can be easily stored. It can be used right from birth using the infant car seat adapter and provides a decent amount of shade with its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only issue is that some parents find the look to be a bit utilitarian and expensive.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight single strollers however, it was created specifically for luxury urban living and travel. It's among the smallest strollers to fold (and includes a convenient carry case) and comes with plenty of storage space, including the cup holder. The seat is comfortable for the child and the adult and reclines to a nearly flat position. This is the only stroller that can be used with infants with the car seat adapter. The handlebar isn't adjustable and could pose an issue for some parents who are taller.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it offers numerous great features that help kids travel more easily. The large seat reclines to a flat position, and comes with extra padding so that those airplane naps last longer. The extendable canopy offers good sun protection, while the parent tray is spacious with plenty of storage. It also features a spring-loaded handle that doubles as a footrest when folded. This footrest, however, is prone to damage by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Minu V2

Uppababy's Minu V2 is a high-end stroller that doesn't skimp on quality and design. Its compact design allows it to easily maneuver through narrow streets and tight spaces however its sturdy construction lets it handle rough terrain without compromising the comfort of your child. The spring-action suspension at the rear and front creates an even more comfortable ride and its sturdy materials will stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use. Additionally it can be enlarged to accommodate additional accessories like baby car seat.

In our testing in our tests, the Minu was a breeze to fold and move around even with a child in hand. Its squat fold, which opens into three sections was among the most simple we tried. This makes it possible to fit easily in overhead compartments in airplanes and on public transport. It has a single-action, color-coded brake that is simple to use.

The seat features an adjustable recline in multiple positions and a single-handed adjustable leg rest, which makes it easy to find the ideal position for your child. The UPF 50+ hood slid down quite a ways and was ideal to shield Cora's eyes from sun (though not as low as some other strollers). 5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is an established brand that makes various strollers. This light-weight model is a good choice for parents looking for a sturdy stroller that can transport children around, has plenty of storage space, is relatively easy to move around and doesn't require a high engineering degree to fold. This model isn't suited for those who need a double stroller or a car-seat compatible model. It does not accept infant car seats. Your babies should be able to sit upright on their backs before they can use it.

This stroller is loaded with features and is available at a reasonable price. It scored higher in our maneuverability test than other strollers with similar specs. It's an excellent choice for smooth paved surfaces. It also has a lovely canopy and plenty of storage, including a large parent tray. The handlebar is smaller than the average, and the front wheel suspension is more rigid however it's suitable for adults.

If you have twins or two children who are different ages you may find a side by side stroller the best option to take them around. Our top single strollers pick is the Joovy Twin Groove, which offers plenty of features and a narrow footprint that can be used into places that other side-byside alternatives won't.

It has individually reclining seats and a huge canopy with an open window, and plenty of storage. It's heavier than other side-by-sides however it has a good weight limit and can handle most kids up to 50 pounds. You can also add a bassinet to the front of the stroller to accommodate newborns.
