Best Rated Roomba Vacuums

This Roomba is among the most highly rated vacuums on the market. It is the most powerful AI obstacle-avoidance system of any vacuum we've tested. It also has mopping features with dual rubber brushes that are less likely to cause tangles than bristle brushes.

It uses random (or bump) navigation rather than vSLAM, which can take longer to clean but ensures every space is sprayed. It has an extended battery life and is effective on carpet and hardwood flooring.

1. Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO is finished in an elegant matte grey that appears like a piece of fabric. This reduces fingerprints. The smart mapping technology utilizes advanced sensors to create an image of your home that allows it to clean each space and avoid obstacles. The irobot store App allows you to modify your cleaning preferences and provide suggestions based on the season, your home, and even your personal preferences. (For instance it could suggest using it more often during the season of allergies). The high-efficiency filter of the robot can trap 99 percent of allergens, including dust mites, mold hair from cats and dogs and pollen. It also has cliffand edge-sweeping sensors, four brushes (including one side brush, two multi-surface long brushes and two multi-surface long multi-surface brushes) and a floor tracker to keep it on its designated path.

During our tests, the i3+ EVO cleaned our floors quickly and effectively. It easily transitioned from carpet to rugs, and then back, and it didn't have any issues crossing the wooden or metal trim irobot that vacuums and mops separates different types of flooring. However, it did run into a few items like shoes, handbags and toys, but was able to move around them. It missed a few spots of dirt on the carpet, however it did take hair from pet hair elsewhere.

The i3+ EVO is a great choice for homes with carpeting but isn't up to the task when it comes to removing crumbs and larger debris. It has a difficult time vacuuming pet hair off carpets and may not be the best choice for those who want their robot to completely replace their vacuum cleaner. It also lacks the superior obstacles avoidance of the top Roombas like the J7+ or S9+, which makes it more likely to get into pet waste on floors and spread it around.

2. Roomba J7+

This is a fantastic robot vacuum for those with carpet and hard floors. Its most notable feature is its obstacle detection, which cleverly eliminates furniture legs, cords as well as pet debris. It's also great in cleaning hard floors and picking up long hairs stuck in the brush.

In contrast to other robots, unlike other robots, the Roomba J7+ has the ability to alter its suction power. 3. Roomba i7+

The i7+ is a fascinating machine to watch. It follows a pattern similar to how a lawn-care professional trims the sports field prior to an event. It will occasionally return to the dock to empty its bin or recharge its batteries. This feature, which enables the vacuum to empty itself, is a wonderful addition that eliminates the need for manual maintenance.

It has a strong suction, which allows it to easily eliminate dirt and pet hair. Even on carpets with high pile, it manages to remove the majority of debris in a single pass. It can also find areas with high traffic and spend more time in those places. This is particularly useful if your children and pets bring in large amounts of trash from the outdoors.

Another feature that is great is Smart Mapping, which allows the i7+ to understand the structure of your home and create an adjustable floor map while it vacuums. After four hours of testing, the i7+ was able to navigate my two-bedroom flat logically and efficiently. The app allows you to further customize the mapping by creating virtual boundaries or giving the rooms names. You can set the i7+ up to clean the area around the cat's litter tray every morning, or to avoid the sofa in the living room once everyone has gone home.

The i7+ also comes equipped with a side brush as well as a tangle-free spinning squeegee and a tangle-free spinning squeegee, both of which are for picking up debris that might otherwise end up on the ground. It also comes with batteries that have Recharge and Resume Technology that allows it to take over where it left off in the previous cleaning session.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is an excellent entry-level robot that will make your home cleaner but without the advanced features of higher-end models. It can learn your habits of cleaning and suggest cleaning schedules. It also works with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants so you can start a cleaning session by simply dictating.

The top panel features an enormous Clean/Power button in the middle, and Spot/Home buttons above and below. A battery-level indicator glows orange while charging and green when the robot is powered to run. The dustbin slides into the robot's back and is released by pressing the button.

The Roomba 694 is fantastic in navigating floors that are bare and sucking up large particles such as rice and cereal. However, it struggles with smaller particles such as baking soda. It can also overflow its dirt compartment as it is filled. It doesn't do well on carpets with low pile but it still scores higher scores than other robot vacuums at this price.

It is very effective at cleaning hairs from pets. However, some strands could get caught in the side brush. Its poor performance on cat litter is a problem but it still beat the top score of many other robots in this class and beat our top choice for value (the Roborock S4 Max) by 19 points. The 694 is more expensive than the eufy RoboVac 30C, however it is more durable and has less maintenance requirements, incurs lower recurring costs, operates much more quickly, moves over obstacles with ease, and delivers superior performance on unfinished floors and high-pile carpet. It has a bigger bin and is able to be used without an internet connection.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is among the most affordable robot vacuums that are available. It's also a good choice if you want a simple and reliable machine. It's able to remove dust, pet hair, and other particles on low-pile and hard floors. It also does a good job of moving around furniture and obstacles. Its slim profile makes it easy to get under low-clearance furniture like couches, coffee tables and other items. It is also one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tried.

This is the most basic model we've seen. It doesn't have features that are available in more expensive models. For instance it's not compatible via an app, which means you'll need to create the schedule with the remote control. It doesn't also provide a battery-level or dust bin alert, so you'll have to monitor its status and manually empty it when you need to.

This model is well built and easy to maintain, despite its cost. It also has a lengthy maximum battery life and provides decent performance on flat floors and when maneuvering around obstacles. In our tests, it was able to climb over low-lying obstructions like electrical cords more easily than the Roomba 694 and Shark Ion robots, but it had issues with carpets with high pile.
