UPVC Replacement Door Handles

As time passes the handles on your doors will get worn out and need to be changed. When doing this it is important that the new handles conform to the dimensions of the old handle.

Inline Lever/Lever

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle differs from the lever handles for doors that are found on most doors. These handle types can either work off one single spindle (inline) or independently from both sides using two offset spindles or inline (pad). They are generally employed on UPVC double-glazed doors and are available in a variety of variations and styles.

The handles are available in various finishes, including White Chrome, and Gold. The finish is in line with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, which gives the handle a high degree of durability and performance for its intended use.

Euro cylinders can be equipped with up to six pins, with external and internal doors generally having different levels of security.

Choosing the right cylinder is essential; it is dependent on how your door and handle are used. For instance, doors that are external should be fitted with a more secure cylinder while doors inside can be secured using the standard cylinder. Certain cylinders come with extra features that can increase security, like anti-drill or anti bump properties.

A euro lock handles cylinder needs to be properly measured to ensure that it is the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the hole in the center of the fixing screw to each end of the cylinder, including the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this with the lock in place however, when this isn't possible, you may take it off to measure. It is essential to avoid having a cylindrical lock that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This could make it susceptible to lock snapping attacks.

The design of most newer cylinders includes anti-drilling and bump resistance features. They are designed to minimize the chance of attack by forcing cylinders to turn in a different direction. This can help to deflect attacks and ensure your door is secure.

Certain cylinders are made to withstand snapping. This is a typical attack on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the lock's break line and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a faster and more convenient method of gaining access than through the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the burglary which can hinder insurance claims.

Spring Cassette
