The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and has a ton of customization options. It also gives you notifications when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill, an option available in a few other GE fridges that allow you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to dispense simultaneously. It also has a countdown feature on the display of the fridge to display how much water you have remaining, but that's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless part of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also features a veggie compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer periods, and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. The fridge has the standard French door design, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set crisper drawers. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more space. You'll also find a full width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the best aspects of this refrigerator is that its ice maker is inside the freezer, which makes it simple to move ice into the fridge for use when needed. It has a capacity that is higher than average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also a little less than the top counter depth refrigerators that have an icemaker, which makes it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
