Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment has 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a French-door refrigerator at this price. It also has an adequate-sized icemaker that is tucked away in the left door, but it's not the biggest I've seen.

You can alter the shelves in both compartments for a custom storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is a nice touch and the inside storage bins feature a third shelf that folds up beneath itself to allow you to store large items. The drawers are equipped with temperature controls, so you can set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and lets you manage your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also comes with a lot of customization options. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked, when the fridge or freezer requires defrosting, and when the filter needs to be changed.

It would be great to have GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill, an option available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to set how many cups they want to pour out. The fridge shows a countdown to display how much water remains however it's not as helpful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless part in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment to keep vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors for maximum preservation of food. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and produces an ice pyramid with only a little water. This fridge is the perfect option for a single family or kitchenettes that want a built-in look and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the best in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is essential to avoid freezer burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, achieving the temperature that was set for the initial setting within an hour and maintaining that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances, so it's no surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance with the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app allows you to control and monitor the refrigerator remotely using your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is expensive, but offers great features and capabilities at a reasonable price.

It is important to know the limitations of the fridge. You might need to be inventive with tall items since the fridge has a limited shelf space. The shelves are also not spillproof and can easily be damaged or stained by sharp items. The trays can be easily removed from the fridge. However, they must be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is a top counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage space into the frame's compact size. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized door bins at each door, two rows of shelves for spill-capture, and a set of sleeker drawers. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more space. There's also a full-width drawer for products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker, making it simple to transfer ice when needed. The freezer also features clever design features, such as sliding drawers that help you sort your things. It has a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate container for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. It lets you control the fridge's temperature as well as lighting via your smartphone. It's a simple way to monitor your fridge and manage it, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily enhance the performance of the fridge. The refrigerator took longer to chill food and defrost it than some others we tried. This is probably due to its larger capacity.

Its capacity is above average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also a little less than the top counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, making it a great option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice when you're looking for a French door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a basic refrigerator that might not be as appealing as its rivals however, it does have enough features to make it a suitable option. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent Ice machine that is fast.

Another great feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you divert a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power directly to this area, so you can store foods that require extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. This is a good performance but doesn't quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to an intelligent thermometer to get more precise measurements of your fridge's temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It is capable of removing streaks and fingerprints even when compared to the glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
