WoW Upgrades - The item upgrading Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade items will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar Best item upgrade, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They are purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which displays an item's preview at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones.
