Canon EOS R6 Mark II is likely to be announced as early as this week. Although it is called Mark II, it seems to be a completely new content. The image sensor is about 24 million pixels. It is said to be a back-illuminated CMOS sensor. However, it is not confirmed whether it is a back-illuminated stacked type, and if it is a stacked type, it will be a major innovation. The continuous shooting performance is expected to inherit about 20 frames per second of the EOS R6, but it may be even faster. The video performance is 4K30p (no crop), and it is unclear whether it supports C-Log. The LCD monitor will be a vari-angle type. In addition, the EVF is thought to be around 3.76 million dots. The recording media is a double slot of SDUHS-II, which seems a bit of a step backward. The AF is Dual Pixel CMOS AFII, and it is possible to automatically recognize the subject by AI deep learning. There is also a Dual Pixel RAW mode, but it is not clear whether this is a pixel shift multi-shot function or a completely new function. Personally, I am looking forward to a pre-capture function, but I wonder what will happen. The price will be around 300,000 yen, the same as the launch price of the EOS R6.
