If you're looking to save money and don't require a stroller that can double up as a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

It's easy to push, and it is solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. Additionally, it's easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation for being the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for city dwellers as as jet-setters. This is due to its super nimble maneuverability and fold that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it does not flex as much as some other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competitors, and it does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to move, however, and can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a second stroller that is affordable. It scored highly in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions. This means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to lift and store in a trunk of a car. It also offers an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a parent cup holder. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It did better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. However, it's missing some essential features that we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features for a double stroller like a large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is designed to accommodate babies from birth to around 3.5 years old, easily changing into a seat and carrycot in just a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.

The seat can be reclined using one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. This narrow pushchair handled all day bumps and doorways easily.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction, or they can rotate. This is helpful in rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel while walking along a stony path. It was able to handle this well, even though it felt slightly rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is known for their three-wheeled, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is easy to use and folds small single stroller enough to fit in the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers we've tested, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other items.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be removed to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space but it has a large, deep basket to hold a change bag or plenty of food. It can also be connected with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be used on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a large number of parents when it first appeared. It is an aluminium-framed single standing stroller that can be used from infant's earliest days through. It has many standout features, including the capacity of the seat to be turned between the front facing parent and the outside, a large UPF50+ canopy that has an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and foam-filled which minimises punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that takes the sting out of rough terrain. It was simple to push and our tester was able to maneuver the car through the narrow streets.

It folds down in four easy steps, and locks automatically without hassle. It can also be rolled and stood up for easier transport down the stairs or in the boot of the car. The travel system comes included with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors that are included. The brakes come with only one action and are colour coded. They also are compatible with flip-flops.
