French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

French-door refrigerators are a perfect blend of form and function. They come with elegant double doors that open to reveal a large fridge on top, and a freezer drawer below. Special features like through-the-door dispensers, ice machines with higher-end features and flex drawers that can be customized make them stand out from the rest.

We contacted Ladina Schopf - interior designer, architect and founder of LS Projects - for her suggestions on how to pick the right home. They considered the capacity of storage, layout, and energy efficiency, among other aspects.

But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This refrigerator is costly, so I expected better.

Apart from that minor flaw, this fridge is a great choice. It has a large freezer compartment that is not common for counter-depth French-door refrigerators. It also holds a lot of frozen food, which is a big difference from other models.

The fridge has 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is about par for the size of a French door fridge costing this much. It also has a decent sized ice maker packed into the left door, though it's not the biggest I've seen.

The LED lighting is a nice accent. The bins for storage inside include a third shelf that can be folded down to store tall items. The drawers have temperature controls so you can set them for Beverage, Meat or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to shut and open however I found the textured plastic coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and lets you manage your refrigerator from anywhere across the globe. It also has numerous options for customizing. It will also send you notifications when the door is unlocked as well as when the freezer or fridge needs to be defrosted, and when the filter requires a change.

It would be nice it GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill which is a feature that is available in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to select the number of cups they would like to disperse. The fridge displays a countdown to reveal how much water remains but it's not as effective as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. This fridge is the perfect choice for single household or kitchenettes who want a sleek design and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated by more than a fraction, this is crucial to avoid freezer burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, achieving the desired temperature for initial set within an hour and keeping that temperature steady throughout the course of our testing.

Bosch is a household name for its high-end appliances. It's therefore no surprise that Bosch's counter depth fridge Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. This app allows you to control and monitor your refrigerator remotely from your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is expensive, but offers great features and functionality at a reasonable price.

It's important to understand the limitations of the fridge. It has a limited shelf space, so you may require some creativity when it comes to storing large items. The LG LRFLC2706S is an excellent counter-depth refrigerator that packs plenty of storage into a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge is built with the standard French door layout, with two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded to provide more space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer for products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker, making it easy to move the frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers to help you better organize the placement of items. It also has a huge bin that holds plenty of frozen food and an additional storage bin for ice.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can manage the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your refrigerator from your smartphone. It's a nice method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. The refrigerator took longer to defrost food and chill it than other models we test. This could be due to its bigger capacity.

The doors are a different issue with this refrigerator. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, but they're difficult for taller people to steer closed without slamming the doors. It would have been better to have front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to combine the look and feel of a French-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an french door fridge price door refrigerator that won't break the bank, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It has a simple design that isn't as striking in appearance as some of the competition, but it has enough features to make it a good choice. Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the fridge didn't differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a pretty good performance, but it doesn't quite rank among the best in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat to gain more precise information on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It is capable of removing streaks and fingerprints, even compared to shiny stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
